PJ Day

It’s chilly, rainy and just plain gray outside today. This is what I like to call a “pj day!” As in, what bother getting out of your pjs?! As I sit here snuggled in a blanket on the couch, with my warm cup of coffee, I wonder if I should be doing something more productive. Aren’t there clothes that could be sorted or cobwebs to be swept? Well not today. Sometimes it is just better to charge up your life batteries. What does that look like or you? Is it knitting, reading a book, taking a nap? How do you recharge?

Society makes it hard for us to do this type of “down time”. There is a constant rush to get things done. I feel it too. It creates a feeling of discontent-we need a bigger house, better car, more clothes…but why? Sometimes taking the time you need for yourself makes you better all around. You can be more patient when your two year old is whining at you or when the lady in front of you at target is writing a check…do people still do that??

Anyhow, take time for yourself. Besides it’s rainy outside anyway.
