Just being you

Just being you

There are many times I try to figure out the “right” way to do something.  Who says what is right?  Well the more I try to be someone I am not, the more I become discouraged with myself.  I am successful when I am me.  That success might seem like chaos to someone else, but that isn’t what matters.  For example, getting a little house work done in the morning, so I can sit on the floor, guilt-free and play with my boys, to me is a huge success.  Not only is in tricky to get things done with little ones, but sometimes you are just too tired to even attempt it.  That isn’t to say those without kids have it any different.  Before I had kids, cooking up a nice dinner after a long day of work or even getting in a little bit of exercise during lunch, were both things I would pat myself on the back for.  Some people do all of these things each and every day….so what?  We are who we are, make the best of it and do what makes you feel better.

Off to spend a few minutes reading, before nap time ends….again a BIG accomplishment on my list.
